Earth Surface Processes and Landforms (2012)

by The Journal for the British Society for Geomorphology
edited by Stuart N. Lane
published by Wiley-Blackwell
ISBN 0197-9337

This is the flagship international journal of the BSG, edited by Prof. Stuart N. Lane (Managing Editor) and Associate Editors Dr Joanna E. Bullard, Dr. Josh Roering, Prof. Michael J. Earth Surface Processes and Landforms is an International Journal of Geomorphology, publishing on all aspects of Earth Surface Science. The Journal primarily publishes original research papers that will have a sustained impact upon geomorphological science and cognate disciplines. It also publishes Earth Surface Exchanges which include commentaries on issues of particular geomorphological interest, discussions of published papers, shorter journal articles suitable for rapid publication and specially-commissioned reviews on key aspects of geomorphological science.

Earth Surface Processes and Landforms (ESPL) is available electronically FREE to members of the BSG. So even if your institution does not subscribe to the journal, as a BSG member you can log on to the BSG webpage and access ESPL electronically through Wiley Online Library (follow the link in the Online Access box on this page).

If you wish to receive hardcopies, then Earth Surface Processes and Landforms is available at a discounted rate to BSG members: £87 a year for paper subscription, and to BSG post-graduate members: £44 a year for paper subscription.

Online Resource

Geomorphological Techniques (Online Edition) (2010)

edited by Dr Lucy Clarke
published by British Society for Geomorphology
ISBN 2047-0371

Are you an expert on a particular geomorphological technique? Have you just written a methods chapter for your PhD and would like to share it with the world? Would you like to help others to avoid the pitfalls you have uncovered, or get a head start at applying a method to further geomorphic research? The BSG is developing an updated, online version of Geomorphological Techniques and we are looking for authors to volunteer articles. Each article should be approximately 2000 – 3000 words in length, outlining the current methods utilised in your specialist area and will be peer reviewed by members of the BSG committee. Honorariums of £200 are available for BSG members that author articles. A suggested Table of Contents is reproduced below, but it is anticipated that this will grow and more than one item are welcomed if they cover a specific aspect of a topic. The first solicited articles will be available on the new Society website later this year. Please contact the Publications sub-Committee secretary (Dr Lucy Clarke: L.E.Clarke@hull.ac.uk), if you are interested in contributing.
