Travel Notes

If you are coming into London by train then catch the train to Egham. This is still quite a way to walk to Cumberland Lodge (up the hill and across the Park) so it might be as well to get a taxi. taxi drivers know where it is and it will take about 10 minutes (except if it's very foggy when it might take you an hour, or more...... ).

If flying into Heathrow, there are notes about the taxis (get an Egham-based one) on the site. There are buses from the Heathrow Central bus station (at the hub of Terminals 1, 2 and 3) to Englefield Green. I have put the 441C bus time table on the website so you can make a judgement about the time. Note that Englefield Green is still a good 2km from Cumberland Lodge and across the (unlit) Windsor Great Park. We have not 'lost' anyone yet (!) but a taxi from Egham might be expedient if you are short of time and it is getting late.
