Windsor Final Details
A few bits and pieces. If there are any last minute changes from your part please let me know, if necessary from 11th Dec to my mobile (07702 344008) NB when at Windsor there may be poor coverage, it depends where you are in the building. If you have a really last minute problem - late arrival because of travel problems then it might be best to ring Cumberland Lodge reception: 01784 497780.
1. Rooms are en-suite and shared with one other person unless you request a single room (which will have to be charged to you personally)
2. I will send a mail (individually) of your personal details to check, please let me know if there are any changes as soon as possible.
3. Travel arrangements are on the website. NB that a taxi direct from LHR is expensive (I'm afraid I do not know current prices though). A bus/train to Egham is the best bet with a taxi from there. Local taxi drivers will know where Cumberland Lodge is. However, if it is foggy and dark even taxis have become lost in the park ....... You can walk from Egham but it is quite a long way (see map) - (and in the Park a survival kit might be worthwhile!).
4. Rules are posted on the website but basically no smoking in the House/Mews and no alcohol except in the bar-dining areas.
5. All meals are provided and there will be enough food and good quality and appropriate 'style'.
6. Re your presentation. We do not want you to spend lots of preparation time on this, however you do it. You may well have all sorts of thoughts about it after attending the workshop any way. Furthermore, we want you to communicate and it should not be neecessary for you to require a crutch such as PowerPoint tends to become - so a few overheads should be sufficient. But if you do have some material that is best done via PowerPoint then please bring it an we shall see about a projector.
7. When you get to Cumberland Lodge, go in through the main doors to the reception desk. I shall leave packs for you there to pick up and a name badge. Please put the name you wish to be known by in Large letters on the badge.
Later Addition: 8. There is pretty good WiFi connectivity throughout the Cumberland Lodge Buildings. This is free but there are no public computers so you may wish to bring your own laptop/netbook.
