The Gordon Warwick Award

The Gordon Warwick Award is made for excellence in geomorphological research as recorded in a named publication or set of publications. The recipient must be under 35 years of age or have commenced work on their doctorate not more than 15 years previously.

Dr Ian Candy



This year's award has been made to Dr Ian Candy (Royal Holloway, University of London). The Award recognises his work on Quaternary sedimentary sequences and application of geochronological techniques (U-series dating) in a range of regions in the Mediterranean, Middle East and northwest Europe. The overall objective of which was to better understand geomorphic response to environmental change.
