The David Linton AwardThe David Linton Award is given to a geomorphologist who has made a leading contribution to the discipline over a sustained period. The winner is invited to present the Linton Lecture, which is one of the central elements of the AGM. Latest Winner (2007)Professor Des Walling
Professor Des Walling (Department of Geography, University of Exeter) is awarded the Linton Award this year. Des Walling is a leading international figure in the world of hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. As well as publishing very widely and influentially on erosion and sediment yield, Des has nurtured a vibrant research community from his long-term base at the University of Exeter. Des has already won many accolades from major hydrological and geographical organisations, and the committee felt it fitting now to cap these with a geomorphological award. Past Winners
