The David Linton Award

The David Linton Award is given to a geomorphologist who has made a leading contribution to the discipline over a sustained period. The winner is invited to present the Linton Lecture, which is one of the central elements of the AGM.

Professor Andrew Goudie


Andrew Goudie (Professor of Geography at the University of Oxford) is awarded the Linton Award this year. Throughout his career Andrew has published a large number of papers that are widely cited and have significantly changed the direction of our research. The Award is recognition of an outstanding contribution to geomorphological research and scholarship over a sustained period in the study of arid lands.
